Jo Ambra Cooper STONEHAM, MASS. and BANGOR.Jo Ambra Cooperof Stoneham, Mass., died after a lengthy battle with breast cancer on Monday, Feb. 14, 1994, in her home. She was 47. Jo Ambra was born in Bangor in 1946. She was an active member of the Jewish Community Center as a young adult. After graduation from Bangor High School, Class of 1964, she went on to attend Chandler School for Women in Boston, where she earned her degree in business. She began her career with Fidelity Management as a fund manager assistant. She joined the firm of L.F. Rothschild, Unterberg and Towbin in 1973 and became a registered stockbroker, working 15 years for the firm. Her last position was with Kidder, Peabody and Co. Inc. from 1988 until her illness forced her to leave the business in 1990. She was also a registered real estate broker. Jo Ambra was predeceased by her father, Louis, of Bangor. She is survived by her mother, Irene Cooper; and a brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Judith Cooper of Bangor; a niece, Hilary Goodman; nephews, Joseph Goodman and Joseph Cooper, all of Portland; a niece, Stacey Cooper, attending Princeton University; and companion of many years, Heather L. Webber. She also leaves several friends throughout the United States and Canada, and special friends, Susan Fix and Selma Cohen. | |
