Bangor-Morris “Myer” Bloom, 100, died April 23, 1981, at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Russia May 17, 1880. He was a well-known cattle dealer for many years throughout Maine. He was the oldest member of Congregational Beth Abraham. He is survived by his wife, Anne Gass Bloom, Bangor; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Joyce) Carle, Danvers, Mass.; three sons, Malvin of Sharon, Mass., Morman of Orinda, Calif., and Robert of New York; seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 24, at 3:30 p.m. at the Jewish Funeral Chapel, Center St., Bangor, with Rabbi Henry Isaacs officiating. Interment will take place in Beth Abraham Cemetery, Bangor. Those who wish may contribute in his memory to the charity of their choice. Arrangements by Brookings-Smith. | |
