SAMUEL VINER -- OBITUARY

 
Bangor – Samuel Viner, 80, husband of the late Loretta(Baron) Viner, died June 20, 1989 at a local hospital. He was born in Bangor, July 8, 1908, the son of Harry and Gitel (Medvedeff) Viner. He was a well known Bangor business man and musician, being the owner of the former Viner Music Co. He was an active musician with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, Bangor Band, Habenicht Chamber Music Orchestra, and had played in numerous area dance bands. He was a member of the Beth Abraham Synagogue, the B’nai B’rith and the AFLCIO musician’s Union. After his retirement, Sam was associated with his daughter at Sandi’s on Main Street, where he sold music and musical instruments . Surviving are one son, Arnold S. Viner of North Carolina; one daughter, Sandra Viner of Glenburn; eight grandchildren Edward Viner, James Viner , Timothy Viner, Jeffery Viner, Tracy Viner, Jennifer Viner, Tammie Viner, and Cindy Turner; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Viner and Benjamin Viner, both of Lake Worth, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by his special friend, Beth Samra of Bangor.
